2022
Due to the pandemic, in 2020 and 2021 we had to put our annual trip to serve the Tijuana community on pause. Fortunately, our friends in Tijuana were able to continue our mission by building houses for families in need.
After two years of waiting with our hearts full of hope and love, we were able to continue our mission this summer.
We were faced with a few challenges this year. With safety in mind, we decided to pause our Mothers', Teens', and Children's programs this year to focus solely on the building of two homes for two families in need.
Through the hard work, compassion, and faith of our 23 volunteers, in addition to the year-long work of our Brothers and Sisters, our mission to build hope through community was able to resume in 2022!
Dorothy Day once said that "We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community" Truly, we have experienced the isolating loneliness during the pandemic, but it is through God's love that we are called to come together as one community to love and serve others.
